A bridge (fixed bridge/fixed partial denture) is a dental prosthesis that fills the space where one or more teeth are missing. A bridge has three parts, a pontic (artificial tooth replaces the missing tooth), and a crown on either side. The crowns fit over the prepared teeth next to the gap (missing tooth).
